Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered

i was not advocating for this UP phone in any way and am sorry if it seemed that way. my next phone will indeed be running on GrapheneOS.
I was just trying to point out that using third party vpn infrastructure can make sense, even though i wouldn’t trust the vpn of UP in any way. trust is a difficult thing, but as of right now i’m liking mullvad.
100% with VPN services you're shifting the trust, not removing the trust. And sorry, I just meant that as a general comment, I didn't think you were implying that the UP phone's implementation was inherently secure.
