But... That's then something different. How would that solve anything?
"You like medium a bit can't access it anymore? They should just release it as medium b"
Not only don't they plan to release it as a movie, so your solution is just as helpful as suggesting to just not remove it from the store, it also changes the whole medium. Like, I get that interactive movies aren't your thing. But if there's an awesome live dvd by your favourite band that's taken off the market, suggesting that they should just release it as an audio CD is just completely missing the point.
I meant it as a "second best" solution. The best solution would be making it open source.
