I wasn't corrected because I made no assertion. I made a joke, but the terminally online are incapable of thought beyond "INACCURATE INFORMATION MUST CORRECT" and it's fucking sad. It wasn't a funny joke, I'll concede that, but I'm not the one worse for wear of this interaction.
