Tonight I'm going to go down the national seashore and try some astrophotography.
The galactic center of the Milky Way will be over some jetties/dunes so I'm gonna try and take pictures of it. There's still a little moon left so it won't be the best but other conditions are ideal. No clouds no haze etc.
I've been plonking down money over the last year on a good prime lens, a good eq mount, and a decent camera. I finally have everything I need, and my schedule for tonite/tomorrow changed in my favor.
I've been looking forward to this for so long the fact that I get to finally go do it is pretty wild. I'm doing some absolutely bargain basement astrophotography but I've been pursuing it since I took a photo of the galactic center with a five year old iPhone a couple years ago.
I have a 55-200mm kit lens that I'm going to try using for a couple nebula photos too since I now have a working tracker.
Please post your photos!
