there UK courts already declared those arrests were illegal. yet they keep on going.
rule of law was always bullshit.
The high court decision is being appealed by the government so they can continue until the final ruling.
which is bullshit. if something is declared illegal by the courts, it means it's illegal.
not that is "legal because you disagree with the courts and hope they change their minds".
that's how the law works!!!
UK government decided to stop being a rule of law democracy as a favor to Israel!!
The UK courts are notoriously aristocratic and haughty too, their higher ups will likely side with power against the liberty England was the first in the modern world to adopt, now the first in the western world to discard.
Whelp, guess it's time to kidnap the king and some nobles and threaten to cut their heads off unless they sign a document granting you your rights back...
I never got that part of any story about the magna carta?
Wasn't that implied when they kidnapped the king?
No, as I understand the story, the nobles got together and made a list of demands, including the forgiving of all debts, jury trials, freedom of speech, and and the like. The kind had to accept it. Feudalism is more complicated than most people think, there are estates that vote on taxes for the king, the local lords control their areas, and with the entirety in the estates vote the king money.
When the estates refuse to render money to the king, that is where the magna carta was borne.
No it depends on what the court ruled. Have you read the judgement?
