I believe it's bad phrasing but I'm less interested in policing that during a genocide. Either way they are concepts because everything is, "concept" doesn't mean made up. And the Holocaust wasn't unique during the time nor did it only target Jews, but western (and western aligned) schools often portray it with complete disregard for these facts. They don't mention Hitler was inspired by the US genocide on indigenous people, they don't mention that the Germans genocided people in Africa before the nazis were a thing, they don't mention that they were just as eagerly murdering Slavs and Roma people, it's just "Hitler was a madman opportunist that somehow convinced everyone to kill the Jews specifically". I didn't even learn about Martin Luther writing "On the Jews and their lies" which showcases that Christian antisemitism was the basis for modern antisemitism. And instead we get told that valid criticism of Israel makes you an antisemite, and when Israel kills Jews in Iran it's radio silence.

My latest theory is that the best way to spot the Racists weaponizing it for Racial-objectives amongst those who talk about the Holocaust, is to notice the ones who only ever talk about a single one of the groups targeted by the Nazis and literally never mention any other group.

The Roma People, for example, were targeted by the Nazis for extermination right alongside the Jewish People (their extermination having been ordered by Hitler himself), yet they are never mentioned by Zionists and their supporters, nor are they claimed to deserve "unwavering support" by German politicians (the double standard in terms of recognition of their victimization and of who is deserving help for being victimized, depending on their ethnicity, is a pretty clear continuation of the Racist Discrimination mindset of the NAZIs in Germany).

There are countless movies about the victimization of Jews in the Holocaust, including Oscar winning ones, but only about 14 movies in the whole World ever made during all this time, about the victimization of the Roma in the Holocaust.

There is The Holocaust, the extreme Genocide in Europe in which the NAZIs targeted Jews, Roma, the Handicapped and other smaller groups, and then there is The Holocaust^TM^ which is a Propaganda story created based on that true event which changes it to one where only ever the Jewish People were targeted and the goes on and uses that to justify as acceptable for the self-proclaimed representatives of the Jewish People to mass murder innocents who were never in any way, form or shape involved in The Holocaust, much less to blame for it.

I absolutely can see why people cast doubt on The Holocaust^TM^ the Propaganda adaptation by White Jewish Supremacists of a cherry-picked subset of the story of what happened in real Holocaust, leveraged using "they're all the same" Racist Logic to justify that people who share nothing with said victims but an ethnicity to be the recipients of such extreme special treatment not extended to other ethnicities that a blind eye is turned on the extreme murderous behavior of some because of nothing else than their ethnicity.
