how is gamestop supposed to go to the moon, or bitcoin, in a realistic way that vlc can legitimately compete with?
Let me explain the joke.
Crypto bros and gamestop stock trader always talk about how their shit is going to the moon. They mean that the value of their trading object is increasing incredibly.
VLC is now physically very close to the moon on a laptop from NASA.
The joke is that VLC is closer to the moon than those traders promises that crashed.
is it one of those "bang, zoom, to the moon alice" things?
I think, not one, but I must admit to never having heard that things at all
It's from a 60s, maybe 50s TV show? Then it was referenced on Futurama
