Chat does this by being a long-form community where topics will remain from day to day unlike the megathread, and it is distinct from c/chapotraphouse in that we ask you to engage in this community in a genuine way. Please keep shitposting, bits, and irony to a minimum.
As with all communities posts need to abide by the code of conduct, additionally moderators will remove any posts or comments deemed to be inappropriate.

A lot of people at my workplace are getting frustrated and ranting at how bad it is. Certainly, whenever we have to do something taxing and repetitive for 3+ hours, those thoughts do slip into my brain.
But I'm free. I ride my bike 20 minutes to work, I am full-time with health insurance and the ability to take a surprising (for working-class American standards) amount of time off. I am getting to the point where I understand more about the store than most of the people above me. I don't expect to be able to turn that knowledge into a business plan, but I'm putting over $1000 a month in the bank, I have a finger on the pulse of what people are consooming, and this job will ride out any recession until I can pay off most of a mortgage (pending).
I do feel kinda bored and I think I want to switch departments, but it doesn't make me feel nearly as "stuck" as other jobs did. Also there's a handful of people here that I can openly talk about radical politics with.
