But we saved gaza, right?
Right?
No? It was never on the table, considering US and Israel's history, was it?
But US coming face off? And even their loyal vassal states not touching the shit you get into.
Yea, can't hide those war crimes behind the world police and hollywood "good guys" facade anymore. Scum
We had a canidate that wouldn't be committing these war crimes.
But glad you're happy that you can prove the US isn't the good guy and it only cost Iranian lives
Jill Stein? I guess I don't remember them saying anything supporting Israel but they were also just a known spoiler candidate so they hardly count.
You know international law gets fuzzy with supplying weapons and money. Which is what the US was providing Israel. Now we have the US military attacking nations directly.
So let me be clear we wouldn't have invaded Venezuela and we wouldn't be invading Iran. Those are the war crimes.
And were not even getting into the domestic issues thse days, lots of death there too.
But yeah let's focus on one thing and ignore all the other way worse direct involvement actions that never would have happened
Have you been doing any Palestine solidarity work or is gaza just a gotcha for you?
Did we though?
You clearly didn't. I'm not American so I'm not just of your "we". Your turn: is Gaza just a gotcha for you?
"You can only care about Gaza if you pass my morality test. Don't worry no matter what you did, I'll arbitrarily judge it as not enough."
Congratulations you defeated the strawman you created.
I asked for a minimal (do you do anything or is it just a rhetorical device?) not any kind of maximal (pass my morality test).
I pointed out the ludicrousness of your morality arguements. You want to talk rhetorical fallacies you've created a character arguement and set yourself as the only judge.
You threw out the facts and changed the arguement to be about the commentors' morality, as you perceive it.
Don't pretend to care about fallacies when your own hypocrisy is pointed out
The moral argument I made is precisely this:
That's the fact, visible to anyone just a few posts up the thread. Nothing thrown away.
From this you assumed that was setting up a different kind of gotcha, where I would instantly dismiss as not enough anything the other party would say. That's your assumption, not what I said. The fallacy you accuse me of requires your assumption, does not stand on what I wrote alone. That in turn is exactly a strawman fallacy.
And yet you still choose to ignore the fallacy in setting up a morality test in the first place. Astonishing
You sidestep everything else (so, do you retract the assumption of a gotcha?) which is ... moving the goalposts fallacy.
But let's talk about the new goalposts. I did not set up the "test" in the first place. In the first place was a cheap moralistic finger wagging point about the tired cliché regarding supposed single issue voters refusing to back Harris. My "test" was precisely challenging the cheapness of that moralistic finger wagging.
So no, I didn't do anything "in the first place".
Any more bad faith one liner comebacks?
No I'm absolutely confident you setup a gotcha, but I deprived you the chance to use it by refusing to engage in it.
No goalposts were moved, nice try though.
Sure whatever.
Good. Neither am i.
The arrogance behind that statement is disgusting.
He's right! That Communist Kamala would have sided with Israel and gaza would be nothing more than a pile of rubble.
If it wasn't for Trump, both the Ukraine war and the Israeli war on Gaza would still be happening! Fuck think of all the dogs and the cats he's saved in Bumfuck Nebraska from those immigrants!
^...checks notes...^ fuck.
One note Gaza Gaza Gaza. I don’t hear you fucks ever talk about all the other suffering in the world due to Trump and his regime, just Gaza.
Almost like your arguments are all bullshit and you’re just shills for all parties who want to tear down the Western world.
If you were eligible to vote in the US general election, and you didn’t vote for Harris in November, you helped Trump win. Simple as that.
You don't have to shut up about genocide to talk about other awful things happening directly because of the US.
I'd argue the people who thought their smug self righteousness was more important are shit myself.
But hey, now we all get to live in this hell right? Or not live I guess.
Voting against Hitler isn't garbage because those in opposition could have influenced Harris or used their intact democracy to work on the issue by primaring dems.
The destruction of usaid alone will cause millions of preventable deaths including many kids. The stadium full of dead kids doesn't care about your feelings
Yeah but they saved gaza!
Only they didnt. If anything their efforts have started to associate anti-genocide with a disaster like trump and practically guarantee people either switch off in disgust of their rethoric or just jump to the other side to avoid all the tankie bullshit.
So you're saying your party is so pro-genocide that they can't even convince people they meet Republican moral standards, which basically don't exist.
Harris isn't responsible for how we vote that is our and only our responsibility.
They did the beat job providing a convincing platform they knew how obviously insufficient but she like us got one vote
Its our job to vote for whichever party will be better for America regardless of whether we agree on all areas
So you don't care how many poor people die as long as "US bad". I'm glad their lives are bargain chips to you
And right back around to the bad faith arguments.
Nuance is dead the world is black and white and either perfect or bad.
A quality which you seem to lack
Not voting says you are happy for either candidate to win, not that you want neither to win. If you want that option, campaign for PR. What is your plan to get rid of Trump now?
Most of us don't like Kamala, but we voted for her because we're not fucking morons.
Who was your candidate?
