What you say is true, although I also think a lot of corporate CEOs are lemmings who pretend to chart a path while essentailly mimiccing what the rest of their peers do, so if we start a meme that they are going to "be shot in the back" if they shaft their employees, maybe it'll hatch a renaissance?

Ever notice the number of CEOs who started dressing like Steve Jobs (and stopped when he got ill), or doing layoffs whenever everyone else would do them? And all of them tried (and failed) to expand into china at around the same time, embraced tablets to replace desktops, embraced the metaverse, and now AI. They arent innovators, they are just a bunch of desperate well dressed douches reading Wired magazine.
