I can't keep up, is that the Intelligence that we trust, or the Intelligence that we don't trust?

[–] Tylerdurdon@lemmy.world 7 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

You mean US intelligence or US "intelligence," eh?

[–] generallynonsensical@lemmy.world 2 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

It's an oxymoron any way you put it.

[–] Tylerdurdon@lemmy.world 4 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

One of those is actually an antonym.

True. I should have said ironic. But oxymoron is a fun term to toss around.

No my friend, you were right initially. That's commonly said about the term. I was just adding to it in a different way because of the orange stain we currently call government.

US "Intelligence" would be more of an antonym than an oxymoron. You were right!

BTW, you seem smart AND nice. Us non-US folk are very happy when your kind pop up. It gives us hope for you. 🖖

The only reason they uncovered what the Nazis were doing is because every missive ended with "heil hitler". The codes were unbreakable for the most part.

A bit more complicated than that. But, yes. They did a mass implementation of a technology they didn't understand and then bungled it's use.

Glances at AI

I'm sure nobody will make that mistake again.
