No my friend, you were right initially. That's commonly said about the term. I was just adding to it in a different way because of the orange stain we currently call government.

The only reason they uncovered what the Nazis were doing is because every missive ended with "heil hitler". The codes were unbreakable for the most part.
A bit more complicated than that. But, yes. They did a mass implementation of a technology they didn't understand and then bungled it's use.
