Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- AI-generated comics aren't allowed.
- Limit of two posts per person per day.
- Bots aren't allowed.
- Banned users will have their posts removed.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

OP believes that leaving in the comic name or artist's signature is "advertising".

They have been caught repeatedly removing them through cropping and other means.
Its also... Different?
Here is the original: https://swordscomic.com/comic/I/
Actually, looks like that’s by the original artist. MurkyWay on Reddit
As much as I dislike where OP pulls credit off posts, the comic is unchanged.
Yeah, because this doofus uses ai to denature these artwors... Just to add insult to injury.
It seems like they're using AI to edit them, I'm 99% sure it's just some kind of troll account.
The artist actually does do advertising stuff (including merch and crowd-funding) on imgur (+reposting/rehashing too) and reddit so I sorta get it, but posting art by someone-who-conducts-themselves-in-a-manner-you-dislike is counterintuitive.
I wasn't even entirely sure it was this until I saw the mention of Patreon on the image, as the talk of signatures in the comments is jumping the shark a bit.
OP does not deserve your benefit of the doubt, unfortunately. They intentionally strip credit out of nearly every comic they post, often using AI to do so, and clarified themselves in the comments of the post I linked that they do include artist signatures in their definition of "advertisement". It was brought up because the user has a history, not because people jumped to wild assumptions.
OP also says that they won't do the simple thing of attribution through link in the body text unless the community adopts their unhinged rule: https://lemmus.org/comment/17161116
