Socialism is so feared a word yet everything that made the West as good as it is (or was?) Was due to socialists fighting for something better. This was true even before socialism was even coined as a term.

almost like they were trying to stop a change for the better to line their pockets, america is a nation of greed not freedom, always has been.

Capitalism: We want to milk you for every penny you have to spare in order to line the pockets of the elite while giving you less and less in order to create profit for corporations and shareholders.

Socialism: We want to create a structure that everyone pays into that benefits everyone. Your taxes pay for public transportation, healthcare, education, and everything is accessible to everyone because everyone pays into everything.

Idiots: I think I still prefer the former because lazy or homeless people might benefit from the latter.
