Sheppard Book lives. Alan Tudyck's star hasn't dimmed. Ron Glass is dead. Hoban Washburne is a leaf on the wind.
Didn't they mount his corpse on the front of their ship to sneak past the Reavers? Pretty sure he was dead at that point.

Wash will still be there, Alan Tudyk hasn't passed yet. It says the series will take place in the couple year gap between the end of the series and Serenity!
That couple years was real time. As I recall (it's admittedly been quite a while), in-universe time between the two was something like 6-9 months.
