It's a great film, gorgeous set design, and it doesn't shy away from letting the weird spacefuture stuff be weird. You can feel where it deserved to be a trilogy - or maybe just have a ten hour runtime.
yeah, it's better than the new dune until around the middle, where it just falls apart completely, not just as a re-telling of dune but as a movie.
