I think you meant to list two different species of penguins.


That being said (and I know this isn't the point of your analogy, but just sharing cos it's interesting) -- birds of different species do understand one another's calls to a certain degree, whether or not the other species is the intended recipient of the message:

Also for penguins I just opened up the wikipedia page where https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_penguin and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emperor_penguin are listed as different species?
