If I’m sent to 1965, I’m just going rogue.
I move to some backwater village, get some blue collar job, buy a house for $20.000 and put the rest of the money in suspiciously good stock picks.
Pretty much my thoughts, but I would also memorize some lottery numbers, or write them down if it's not terminator time travel and I can take items with me.
I would hope to take someone with me though, it would be fun to sit around and reminisce about the future, "hey remember when this is going to happen?"
It is a great plan, if you happen to be white and male and live in North America or West Europe.
You do that, I'm gonna move down a hit list and see how badly I ratfuck history.

The hit list is rather excessive but I'd have the secondary goal of slapping my grandfather upside the head in the 80s and teaching him the glories of PPE and how it's effective against lung cancer.
Yeah, if time travel was real, I probably wouldnt do some big act to prevent horrible people from being born/growing up..
probably just go back and hug my grandfather one last time.
Funny thing is that I never met my grandfather, he died when my mom was still young. But I figure that I'd have to offset whatever damage id do by exterminating my father's family.
