Mildly Interesting

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.

The US numbers don't surprise me at all.

Both sides believe to be victims of the other team's malice.

But it even being over 50% is some hardcore divided society.

And one of the sides is right.

Won't argue with that.

Covid really showed that there were two USes, and the Election, where we knew exactly what we’d be getting, further capped it off.

nothing to do with poltics. i live in an exclusively liberal area... and people basically are shit after covid.

i have been attacked and harassed by people in the middle of the street multiple times post-covid. that literally never happened to me until '22, and now it's a regular occurrence. not by homeless bums either, but by just unhinged regular people who decided the color of my shoes made me a a piece of shit or something.

that on top of the escalation in shitty aggresive driving, the lack of courtesy to servers at restaurants/airplanes, etc. like I never saw someone berate a waitress before, but now I see it once every couple of months.

i literally see this crazy shit now that i never saw before and i'm also subjected to it. many of my fellow liberals are losing their minds and taking it out out innocent bystanders. i won't even go into the crazy violent talk that has become normalized that makes me want to never talk with many people that I used to be friends with...

There's a saying about "if everyone you met is an asshole..."

I'm a little suspicious.

Canada's numbers are also not surprising. Even though we have just as many assholes here as anywhere else, we have the same "Be polite" culture that most Commonwealth countries do.

It's just that we are often juxtaposed against the US as our closest neighbor.

This chart feels like rage bait masked in agreement bait. The source for this info seems to be off in many countries. Alberta and seemingly a ton of truckers disagreeing with their fellow Canadians only account for single digits? Sus.
