Evidently, it's not enough for this utter piece of shit to verbally support war crimes of the burger reich. Motherfucker wants to be a direct participant.

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca 11 points 2 days ago (4 children)

I'm going to call you out on this, he in no way even hinted they Canada would get involved.

He said by the nature of the conflict he can't rule it out in future. Which is absolutely an accurate and fair thing to say.

My suspicion is a person like you would complain if he DID rule it out, saying he wouldn't protect Canada if we're attacked or some transparent shit like that.

Downvoted as likely Maple MAGA and definite word-twisting.

[–] mrdown@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

No it is not fair to say. He should say I will definitly not participate in this war of agression

He called the US our ally twice in his response to the question. On multiple occasions over the last few days he has repeated US and Israeli propaganda about Iran's nuclear capabilities and ambitions, calling them a "nuclear threat".

And instead of doing the thing that any competent politician who is against this war of aggression would do β€” say "no, we are not getting involved in this conflict and I am not going to entertain wild hypotheticals" β€” he left the door open for sending Canadians to fight alongside the fascist US who have threatened our annexation.

Either he's aligned with Trump's worldview, or he's a dangerously naive fool (or both). Either way, he's clearly unfit to lead this country.

Edit: typo

This user's last 22 of 25 posts is in "Canada" with an obvious anti-Liberal slant.

I'll leave it to users to decide if this person is a genuine good faith individual posting here, or something else.

Carney is acting like a conserastive

If you have something to say to me then say it directly instead of dancing around it like a weak little piece of shit

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca -4 points 2 days ago (2 children)

It's good to see the Fediverse getting big enough that it's attracting foreign interference.

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I love how you think that fediverse is exclusively for westoids. 🀣

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca -2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Shhhh you're not supposed to use that word. It makes it too obvious why you're here.

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 days ago

What's obvious, and hilarious, is how fragile libs are when confronted with views outside their bubble. Maple MAGA indeed.

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Nobody is twisting any words here. He refuses to condemn an unprovoked war of aggression. He calls the aggressor, which literally threatened to annex Canada, and is running an economic war against us an ally, and he did not rule out direct participation in the said war. The only Maple MAGA here is you, being unable to look at the situation objectively because you simply cannot criticize your own political party.

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca -1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

"Nobody is twisting any words here".

"Evidently, it's not enough for this utter piece of shit to verbally support war crimes of the burger reich. Motherfucker wants to be a direct participant."

If you think I'm going to take you seriously, at all, you're sorely mistaken.

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Go grab a dictionary and look up what the word participant means. And why would I care if somebody who has reading comprehension of a preschooler takes me seriously?

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca -3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I can agitate for fun too!

Go grab a dictionary and look up what the word direct means. And why would I care if somebody who has reading comprehension of a preschooler thinks I'm wrong?

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 days ago

Oh, bless your heart. You seem to think direct only applies to pulling a trigger. Let me spell it out for your preschool-level comprehension: providing intelligence, logistics, or even a single bullet is direct participation. It's not a spectator sport. If you're fueling the war machine, you're in the war. Maybe grab a dictionary that includes the concept of "tangible support" before you embarrass yourself further.

They're one of the most prolific lemmy.ca posters from the .ml instance. I don't disagree with all of OP's takes over all their posts/comments on our instance, but they're absolutely on the Russia/China simp end of the political spectrum. Like a large portion of the .ml membership.

Gotta love how ad hominem reigns supreme in liberal spaces.

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca -1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It's called a reputation and you have a shitty one. No one to blame but yourself. You have plenty of safe spaces to run to if you're picked on here.

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 days ago

Don't worry child, I have thick skin and I can handle a few angry losers here barking at me.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

he has to balance his response with a Fascist war monger next door while negociating trade. Sex in a canoe.

You can't run a country telling people to go fuck themselves like Ford runs Ontario, because the victims of that behavior are CDN workers.

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 days ago

You do realize that he's literally legitimizing Trump invading countries unilaterally here. I bet CDN workers are going to be thrilled when the US decides they'd like to take over Canadian oil fields next. This is about having basic principles and minimal integrity. Don't tell me it's not possible, because here's what it looks like in practice https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c93wwq1n542o
