A shame since Crockett was so inquisitive and critical - but I guess Talarico probably has a higher chance of turning Texas blue?
Just looking at the policies they’ve supported and advocated for… I’d say that talarico is maybe a little bit more progressive in some ways.
I think in policy terms they’re roughly equal, it’s just a question of who will bring out more voters.
He's extremely progressive and he backs up his views by quoting Jesus. He went to seminary, and he's been at the forefront of fighting those 10 Commandments in classrooms bills.
The Republican Party cannot fight him without laying down Christianity. This is the guy we need on the national stage.
Yupp, I think thats why a lot of democrats voted for him in the primary. We know we'll have to contend with the general population in November which skews more racist and sexist. Very unfortunate because I really liked Crockett as a candidate.
Yeah, but man I'm reading through her wiki rn and there's some stuff I missed. Stuff like:
And
So like...maybe some of those things turned democratic voters off?
Maybe but fyi, governor Hot wheels is a pretty regular term for texas democrats to call him, so not really a completely out of left field thing to hear.
The AI thing is cringe worthy though
Pragmatism in Texas indicates going for the white male. I didn't make the rules, and I can't even vote anymore, given my lack of a fixed address. You get mailed a new voter card every year, and they can't be forwarded, so you're just dropped from the rolls.
Also a bunch of fuckery with voting times and voting locations.
Should be making more of a stir about people making it harder for you to vote. Oppose the "other"-ing with "you".
