Are you hypermobile?
I get that since childhood and it turned out to be a stiffness/subluxation in a tiny joint where a rib was attached to my spine. Sometimes it can crunch back into place naturally or with gentle stretching. Another time it was a bit more stubborn and needed to be adjusted by a physio. (Avoid chiropractors.)
It's not dangerous but hurts like a bitch
I don't think I'm hyper mobile; I'm pretty inflexible which I attribute that to lack of exercise lol I can still put my foot behind my head though so I got that going for me ๐
Though you are probably right with what the issue is. I'll get my partner to give it a good massage when it isn't 3am ๐
You can be hypermobile without being flexible, especially if you're not able to safely stretch or exercise much. Your body can also defensively tighten your muscles to avoid hyperextension.
Heat helps the pain and helps things relax back into place if it is that
Thank you ๐๐๐ I'll look into it, but for now will find a warm something to put on it ๐๐๐ you're the best, I really appreciate your helpful advice and care!
