Prime Minister Mark Carney backed U.S. air strikes on Iran, saying Tehran is the main source of instability in the Middle East and must never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons.

“Canada supports the United States acting to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to prevent its regime from further threatening international peace and security,” the Prime Minister said in a joint statement with Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand Saturday from Canada’s trade mission to India.

To see our Prime Minister support a completely illegal and unjustified war is beyond galling.

Sure, I had concerns about having a central banker for PM, but after campaigning on ‘elbows up’ I didn’t expect a hawkish toadie of the USA.

Between Carney and Poilievre, the better of the two seemed pretty clear and still does. Doesn't mean it was a great choice.

Frankly, I'm surprised we aren't seeing more floor crosses though. If you can choose to be part of a Conservative party in opposition or a Conservative party in government, why choose opposition?

The conservatives in power aren't crazy enough for the Reform Party.

Just didn't think I'd see them do this well.
