I approve of the new slur term clanker gaining widespread adoption.
It's not new. It's from the ~~2008 animated Clone Wars TV show~~ 2005 video game Republic Commando. And it refers to a physical characteristic of battle droids LLMs don't have.
I feel like I heard clanker before clone wars but now when it’s said I definitely hear Cody saying it in my head
Had to look it up, but you're right. It's from three years earlier Republic Commando.
I feel like I heard it OUTSIDE of Star Wars though, I’d be surprised if Star wars itself came up with the term.
Recently replayed it, it'a a great game
