My first ever "run in" with Trump was back in like 2002-03ish during a summer vacation to nyc for the weekend with my family and a visit Trump Tower on a rainy day. (hexbear.net)

We were going inside to see if we could do a tour of the building (I guess they did them back then) and I remember walking through the lobby with my mom, aunt, uncle, and my cousin. I nearly slipped and fell on the wet floor and busted my head open. I think I caught myself from falling and then we left.

In hindsight I should have pulled a Slippin' Jimmy and taken Trump to the cleaners.

That was the first time I had ever heard of him and it was something that nearly hurt me. Talk about foreshadowing.
