I wonder how microsoft has managed to avoid EA reputation of buying studios to basically run them to the ground yet.
I saw an interview with Tim Schafer from DoubleFine and he said he was reticent to accept Microsoft's offer until he talked to a couple of other studio heads that got bought. They told him Microsoft was very hands off and basically let them do their own thing. This will obviously change at some point, because capitalism doesn't allow for it.
