thanks, I can take small doses of aspirin until I get results and a script for specialised meds

and gentle hugs for your big toe , that must hurt very much because it's not like you can walk softer

I can cope when I'm bare foot, which is most of the time but when I start exercising that's when the pain starts so I have to wear runners now.

It feels weird like a tight rubber band and sometimes it swells. I think it's from years of driving.

Get your GP to test for gout. The early symptoms are very very similar to arthritis. But gout is easily controlled with drugs and diet. Not weight loss diet, intake of particular nutrients diet. It's genetic too. My late bloke had it for many years but it was easily controlled with a pill.

I did think that at first but there's a clicky noise and it's been happening for years now. I'd be happy if it's gout but I do think it's more wear and tear because I use it more for driving.

Time to get it checked out.

Could it be a subluxation? One of my big toes likes to click and make a fuss after a sprain stretched the restraining ligament
