There will be an inflection point at some stage, and years from now it will surely be the norm. However right now is the time in which we all know what was and used to be and can see whatโs coming and with that experience we can tell itโs different and something will be lost. Much to be gained but clearly something will be lost, and that is at the heart what is lacking here.
The same thing that gets you into a single seater and keep you wanting more. The whole reason we all decided to compete and see which of us could wrangle the horsepower in way that would prove we were the quickest around a lap and over a race distance. Fast was not always fast and soon we learnt fast was smooth, but now thatโs changing too and fast is now most optimal, and sometimes optimal is not very intuitive to the senses of human touch and perception, as the feeling of speed is no longer visceral and physical but data driven and digital, and this is conflicting with the emotion of speed, because without that feeling, it just might not be something we want to pursue and no longer keep us at the wheel because that feeling isnโt there anymore.
