"A new international F-16 fighter jet squadron staffed by Ukrainian, US and Dutch pilots has been assembled in Ukraine. The western pilots, who are working under temporary contracts, are helping the Ukrainian pilots to master the aircraft's technical advantages."

But they are also coordinating and participating in (flight) missions. So not only training it seems.

That's our schtick. There was an American PBY Catalina crew that played a small but significant part in the hunt for the Bismarck, and there were American P-40s fighting for the Chinese against the Japanese, both prior to December 1941. """Training""" """Contractors"""
