If you wanted to make an incredibly campy B-movie this looks about right.
This would produce something that looks like the Street Fighter movie, competent actors but none of them make sense and none of the cast has any synergy with one another.
Raul Julia would have made an incredible Gendo. Not for like, purposes of authentic portrayal or even being remotely faithful to Evangelion as a whole, but it would have been incredible regardless.
SO you are saying there is a chance ?
