Yeah alright ta, how was yours?
Expensive one this end. We've had this sofa for eleven years and it's put in it's fair share of service. We ordered another one from Ikea...
...but the other half says "well seeing as it's the biggest piece of furniture in the living room, why don't we do the carpets while we're at it?" and I'm like fair enough, makes sense...
...and then she's like "well if we're doing the carpets, we might as well paint the walls and the ceiling so we don't fuck the new carpet" and annoyingly I was like fair enough, makes a whole lot of sense.
A pricey week, but it does get three jobs done in one weekend I suppose.
haha, these things do tend to escalate. We had our living room floor and decorating done last year, and my wife was like "let's get new sofas!" and I pointed out that our existing ones fit perfectly with the new style we were going for. I finally managed to convince her that getting them professionally cleaned would be the the better idea and sure enough it was lol, made a massive difference to how they look.
Tiring. Been trying to sort out longer term care for my dad, as he's been having free care since being discharged from rehab from the carehome. We didn't know it was only temporary so we've been in a bit of a panic trying to get a replacement care package sorted for him. My mother in law then also got sent to hospital and has spent the week there due to an issue with her lungs, being moved over to a bigger hospital over the weekend. So it's been a bit manic trying to deal with them and keep the kids busy, do the housework, get some gym time in and so on.
If you're anything like me, gym time would be the first thing getting fucked off. I've been quite enjoying putting the miles in round the town again. It's remarkable how much urban environments change in the couple of weeks that you've sacked the runs off.
Good luck with your father. It's hard work after all.
I'd love nothing more to go out there and run but unfortunately I keep getting pains around my calves after a few runs, so I'm avoiding the running for now!
