It sucks too because there is a lot of reactionary assimilationism in people claiming azteca identity too.

Thanks! Why is Dewey an asshole? One of my liberal friends quotes him all the time and holds him in really high regard, so I'm inclined to believe that already. I just hadn't heard this discussed before, either.
