Some of these winter Olympic sports are so dangerous - flipping and spinning in the air, riding rails with ski’s, flying down the mountain, the athletes have no fear. It looks so cool but wow one wrong move and ouch.

I have seared into my memory of the skier who got caught on the fence,

nsfwsplit his groin open, and bled out on the snow

It was grotesque, it's so fucking dangerous.

Even figure skating - the competitors have knife blades bolted onto their shoes. And the ice is hard. I broke my coccyx falling over on an ice rink as a child. And I've seen severed fingers when someone went out of control and crashed into someone else and ran over an outspread hand. Not deliberate, just an unfortunate accident ...

Ilia Malinin, one of the top male skaters, does freaking BACKFLIPS on the ice. Amazing to see, but scary!

Curling is looking better and better all the time.

I wonder how they even get into such sports.
