Yes, because they want all of the money from the ignorant masses with the least amount of investment
Don't talk about "the original" unless you read the books (or listened to the audiobooks—they're read by David Tennant and it's great)

I love David Tennant's stuff, I'm always looking for more. I had no idea he read audio books! This is going to the top of my list, after my current book.
