I’ll never understand how people think it’s completely okay to edit what others like.
These same people that give others grief about what they eat are the same people that will bitch and moan about others being all up in their shit about the music/movies they like, where they work, how they live, who they live with….
Life is short, eat the pineapple pizza like the world is watching, and proudly tell those that don’t like it to kindly fuck themselves.
I was a hater. I wasn't like in anyone's face about it or anything but I looked down on it.
Then I had the Holy Trinity. Pepperoni, Pineapple, Jalapeño. Salty, spicy, sweet.
I've been saying this for years! Meat, sweet, and heat. The pizza trifecta.
It's one of those things that should be obvious, but I was oblivious. Likely from pizza topping stigmas lmao
Read up on the time Christianity started a war with itself over flat bread vs not flat bread. People love to control others and its just so fucking weird. Ive got enough social anxiety and life problems without thinking about controlling what everyone else does.
In my experience it’s mostly Italians - ‘that’s not REAL pizza/bolognese/carbonara/etc’ whenever other people try adding their own twist to things.
Kind of ironic how angry they get about it, given pasta came from China and tomatoes are from the Americas, so their entire cuisine is imported.
Pizza as we know it isnt even from Italy its from the US. Im pretty sure 'Italian' pizza was just some dough with sauce on it.
