Cause they drew it so that it would look like Steven Universe. Or used AI, I think AI would be more on model.
nah I don't see any reason to see it as AI, look at how the hands and poses are drawn it's just made by someone who likes steven universe and isn't too experienced at drawing, look at the left arm of the girl with the red hijab notice how the area below the elbow just gets smaller, notice all the characters have 5 fingers even if its awkward, also pretty sure some characters are just straight up from the show
