i see you are pleased to claim arbitrary historic semanticisms about the difference between genocide and persecution rather than actually attempt to meet the (admittedly impossible) challenge of actually demonstrating a break in the chain of genocidal intention and behavior from then to now. you will understand when i say i do not thank you for the education.

at least you now understand why i think its a hypocritical irony to insult others as having a short memory while simultaneously claiming the genocide started a couple short years ago.

before i leave off, in fairness to you, i dont hate you. i fundamentally agree that it was shitty of aoc to vote to fund israel’s ongoing genocide and am skeptical of her intention and ability to affect meaningful positive change. i take exception to the unworthy insult. i write in disappointment, not anger.

Not sure how much time you want to spend arguing about semantics. Yes Israel has been genociding Palestinians since even before 48, but terms are used out of convenience and saying "77 years into the genocide" is not language anyone will understand.
