What happened to the old-fashioned cuckoo clock? 🤔

I gotta ask where the idea for this one came from

Sorry, this was about as random as it gets. Saw a picture of a cuckoo clock on reddit and thought: “What else can come out every hour besides a wooden bird?” 🤔

Or you could have 78 people telling their parents that they're not straight, cis, or binary twice a day. But, like, the entire time. At 1, you get to hear only one party of the conversation, but for an entire hour. At 12, each person's part of their conversation only lasts 5 minutes.

Empowering, annoying, and a double entendre answer to "what else comes out?"

The best part is that putting it in a comic strip would be... Probably visually uninteresting and certainly catastrophic to your reputation as a shocking cartoonist.

Let me know if you ever want any other ideas that would end your career with a resounding "m'eh." You're welcome!

Wow, you really went all out on this. I’m putting your idea in the “maybe” pile. 😎

And why do you have it barfing on a proper wife while her proper husband encourages her to keep sitting there to learn to enjoy being vomited on every hour for the rest of her life?

It’s a metaphor for love and sacrifice. 😙🤌

Your question kinda answers itself

Because this comic combines the cynical semi-randomness of Gen X with the Hate-My-Wife humour of the Boomer generation?
