The black cat finally came back so I brought out the wet food Melbcat refused to touch plus some dry food. I was able to give him the spot on with no problems.
A bit worried about Melbcat though. She's still nibbling her dry food and will have one or two treats but isn't that interested in wet. She's off resting in the other room.
Edit: Both critters have been treated now. She's at the door screaming about the birds or possibly smells the other cat.
Edit 2: Oh shit there was a bald spot on the top of his head. I hope it isn't ringworm. I feed him from disposable paper bowls, have been really good on hand hygiene, and always take a full shower and wash my clothes after handling him to avoid bringing any sickness in to my own cat. But I hope I haven't tracked anything in at the carpeted entrance. I wonder if I still have that mini black light.
cats get patchy, it's normal, don't worry
and so many hugs for being a caring cat mom 😽
I hope it’s just from scratching fleas… I’ve never dealt with ringworm but don’t fancy doing so especially with carpet. He’s had a good quality flea and worm spot on (that also includes ticks and ear mites) so hopefully it resolves.
Edit: Melbcat thinks I’m an evil mum, I’m imprisoning her and fraternising with the enemy. She just hissed him away through the screen door
