Hungary’s forthcoming election [ April 12] potentially offers a first test of the US government’s new commitment to assist like-minded politicians in Europe. Yet when it comes to gauging just how much help Orban might expect from Washington, the picture is confused(...)

Seeing how fruitless Orban’s visit to Washington in November was, I doubt that any meaningful material support would arrive from the US in the period before the election,” believes Zoltan Ranschburg a freelance political analyst based in Budapest. That said, he adds, “Trump is of course famously unpredictable.”(..)

Dr Garvan Walshe [research associate at the Martens Centre for European Studies in Brussels] however, thinks that, depending on the outcome of April’s vote, the true significance of American support for Orban may only be felt after polling day rather than before it. In his view, “if there’s a disputed outcome, they [the Americans] are likely to either stand by Orban, or demand a huge and random price from others in exchange for making him stand down.”

Exactly.

& both Putin & Trump stand to gain, globally, from having Orban continue his gutting of Hungary.

Rather more musical than how I'd have said it, but spot-on.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/jan/29/trump-russia-asset-claims-former-kgb-spy-new-book

& more recently https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jul/15/the-person-to-weaken-america-what-the-kremlin-papers-said-about-trump

I remember the 1st personal-meeting between Trump & Putin: how he ordered that there be ONLY Russian security present during the discussions, NO secret-service..

that has been scrubbed from the internet by the mainstream "journalism" sites, of course, but it raised quite a ruckus, back when it happened.

No matter: he will get his "miracle-cure", & then the world will be in the "palm of his hand", in amazement ( the Christian Rev 13 prediction ), & the 3 living Democrat presidents .. well Daniel 7 ( Jewish prediction ) says that "3 horns ( rulers ) will be pulled up by their roots", so you can connect the dots as to what's going to happen to them, shortly.

The tipping-point will be crossed.

& the far-right will rule much of the world, because people who do ideology rather than correct-reasoning prefer "power" to objectivity, & power-over-others is exactly what "drug" fascism, including party-fascism ( communist-party's fascism: same totalitarianism, same eradication-of-critical-reasoning, same eradication-of-rights, only party-centered instead of individual-centered, so I won't participate in the pretence that it's somehow different in what it does ) is.

Ideological-drug.

That's humankind's choice?

shrug

Universe'll hold that to be valid, exactly as universe'll hold that a herd which stampeded off a cliff committed its will validly.

Natural Selection, at the whole-planet scale: The Great Filter.

Humankind isn't passing the test.

& political-systems which select for DarkTriad rulers, is intrinsically anti-human-viability engineering.
