The funny thing is that following their assumption that the communists are popular enough to win an election you'd think that would also mean that if they decided to revolt against an ~~authoritarian~~(ugh) fascist government they would also have enough popular support for using force to take power as well.
Liberals believe that if they ban communism then all communists instantly get vaporized into the ether and disappear forever. Their conception of the law is indistinguishable from magic.
