And the west basically forced Russia into this role by continuously refusing to allow Russia to integrate with it after the fall of USSR.

I'm going to be pretty salty about this for some time. If the West would have invested an iota in the (former and current) communists of what we invested in the Nazis, our world would look very different, right now, and the prognosis not nearly as grim.

The problem is that the west is run by literal nazis. Once you realize that this is the case, everything starts making sense.
