One day, she was posting a video about how the cats were such a menance, and that's why she was leaving bait traps to poison the cats

While this is infuriating, she is right about outdoor/street cats being a menace. They are predators, and avid hunters, by letting them roam, small mammals and birds are killed in high numbers. The proper course of action would be to spay them rather than killing, of course.

I hope you're talking about poisoning them, not spaying them. Both dogs and cats live longer if neutered after a few years, and diminishes zoonoses. This policy is meant for street dogs and cats, though in my country they offer this surgery for free for pet owners.
