So. an HOA has moved into a new development not too far away. They've been trying to get everyone to join even though we're all really not interested. And all sorts of other bullshit things. One of those things was the lady who was president of the HOA bitching about not being able to walk her little rat dog in the morning because everyone keeps letting their cats out.
(yes. there's a feral colony that lives in the woods. they're usually quite chill.)
One day, she was posting a video about how the cats were such a menance, and that's why she was leaving bait traps to poison the cats- which is highly illegal.
Now the cops had something to say about that... after they were done laughing.
You see. the critter on her porch was not a cat. (and she got sprayed.)
While this is infuriating, she is right about outdoor/street cats being a menace. They are predators, and avid hunters, by letting them roam, small mammals and birds are killed in high numbers. The proper course of action would be to spay them rather than killing, of course.
This is like trying to put out a camp fire with a flame thrower.
