The Hour of the Furnaces (1968) - part1 - part 2

A documentary form Argentina made in during the dictatorship in the 60's. Using pretty avant gard techniques, it's kind of entrancing and powerful. It goes over the history of colonialism in South America generally, and Argentina specifically. It was technically illegal in Argentina when it was made, and public showing and attendence was an act of defiance to the dictatorship.

F.T.A. (1972) - "A documentary about a political troupe headed by actors Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland which traveled to towns near military bases in the US in the early 1970s. The group put on shows called “F.T.A.”, which stood for “Fuck the Army”, and was aimed at convincing soldiers to voice their opposition to the Vietnam War, which was raging at the time. Various singers, actors and other entertainers performed antiwar songs and skits during the show."

Fidel (1971) - This follows Fidel Castro post-revolution, touring the Cuba and inspecting conditions on the ground and doing his thing. Basically going around spitting theory and facts and being charismatic.
