Why is the title different?
We like to have fun here.
What is this place? A safe space for underrepresented peoples and peoples of color to talk, chill, and vibe.
What are the basic rules of the community?

Follow Lemmy TOS and Community Guidelines. Non negotiable. This is the bedrock and mods will make decisions with this always in mind.

This community is for ethnic minorities and people of color. This is a safe space where such people can freely discuss their struggles, insight, and thoughts without fear. If you are not, we respectfully ask you do not post or comment here. A future community will be established to allow for racial discussions with a mixed userbase. However, remember, comments here must still respect Lemmy TOS and Community Guidelines.

Stupidpol is not allowed. Stupidpol is class reductionist. We are an identity community. Thinking like stupidpol ignores the struggles of the oppressed, their voices, and their need for unique support. Nothing says oppression more than someone saying that the identity you have is "not real" and that if you only thought like them you'd see what your "real" identity is. Mods reserve the right to ban users and content who promote stupidpol, stupidpol memes, and other class reductionist thinking.

I don't look XYZ and/or sometimes I can pass as white so I don't know if I can post here. Can I?

This place is for ethnic minorities and people of color. This includes those of mixed heritage and those who may be "white" but are of an ethnicity that is a minority in their area (i.e. Kurds, etc) If you've experienced oppression due to your identity that is not based on sexual / gender identification, you are welcome here.

Moreover, for our American audience, we have people from around the world who are "white" but are oppressed due to being a minority in their country. They are and should be welcomed here.

They live such cozy fucking lives yet complain more then anybody else give me a fucking break. "Nowhere is safe for us" welcome to the world, guess what, you're not the only ones and you can still be guilty of heinous shit, like how some white USians are talking about seeking asylum elsewhere casue of trump lmaooooo. And it's almost always white jewish people saying that I've never seen a poc jewish saying it which goes to show cause you know, the poc part already makes it obvious absolutely nowhere is safe. Whites are white before anything else coming up as real again. Nobody is as arrogant and as sensitive as a crakkker. It's eurocentrism to ignore the countless groups who governed in Palestine before and after the jewish people yet only act like they're the ones who have the right to that land just as it is to focus on the history of antisemetism mostly in europe to justify borderline jewish supremacism and ignoring all kinds of bigotry besides antisemitism. Fuck anybody who contributes to it and may we see a fully liberated Palestine and the fall of the west in our lifetime.
Of all the whites I’ve had tell me they were going to do this since 2016, not a single one has actually done it, because ultimately they are not materially affected, ICE is never going to come for them (their “activism” is limited to making a post on Bluesky every month) and they aren’t willing to give up their comfortable lives to cosplay as refugees. A democrat will win in 2028 and ICE will go back to only killing POC and everything will be normal again.
As far as I can tell it’s just a conversation topic for the dinner table. Same thing as that one temporarily-embarrassed-millionaire relative talking about how this is the year they’re finally gonna quit that minimum wage job and invest in crypto/AI and become a trillionaire or whatever. Every year for the last 10 years.
