As much as I'd like it to be that, no. El País is from Spain, but widely read here in Mexico... Think of the Guardian or BBC news on US events, kinda like that.

Mexico sincerely does have a Cartel issue, don't let anyone fool you otherwise, but most people here in Sonora for example just deal with it as a part of life here. As much as it sucks, it's Mexico's issue to deal with.

It already looks like this fascist administration is gearing up for action in that regard. With the sanctions reducing their income from oil exports, this is all meant to exacerbate the suffering and hardship.
