As a diehard scientific facts person, ‘Global Warming’ & diversity disappearing through other non-companion & non-our species Beings going into extinction & ‘Overpopulation’ has to be dealt with, as everything is interconnected & ‘Overpopulation has huge bonds, if The Living Earth & All Living Beings, including us are going survive the threat of extinction. & I agree with that part of your reply, but substitute global order with ‘Capitalist’ or should I now be using ‘Feudalist’!
The reason I disagree is right in my description of myself- diversity disappearing through other non-companion & non-our species Beings going into extinction & ‘Overpopulation’ has to be dealt with, as everything is interconnected & ‘Overpopulation has huge bonds, if The Living Earth & All Living Beings, including us are going survive the threat of extinction.
Far, far & far too many members of our modern & 1st world people are only caring about OUR SPECIES & IT’S Survival! If that was not true then the above would never be happening at record speed. As my username here says, I put myself on the line for other Beings’ Rights, including the Right to survive. Thus too many people in the world & even worst affect too many people in areas of this world, ‘Overdensity’ are also the problems! Your (& plenty others, would dangerously guess a major of our species) lack of caring about that also dooms all The Living Earth & All Living Beings & is a former of greediness!
No one has ever accused me of not caring about other beings, this is a watershed moment for me...
So real quick a little bit of background on me, I'm actually really active in my community, doing things like prairie restoration/maintenance and teaching regenerative gardening workshops. I DO care about biodiversity. I care about it so much that I spend my free time promoting it. We agree on that, biodiversity including everything from soil biology to blue whales is really important.
Where we differ I believe is this misanthropic notion of how to protect that diversity. Rather than eugenics I think we should be using regenerative techniques in agriculture and preserving natural order, which could be balanced with current populations if- and only if- we reign in capitalism. I'd call it feudalism even, our system now, we agree on that too. I just don't think drastically shrinking the human population is the only play.
I do want to ask, though, if the only answer is shrinking the population, how do you suppose that would happen? The middle step between the dystopia were currently in and your vision of the future.
You expressed opinion, in your previous reply, tells me all I need to know. It is test of what one’s caring about others Beings is.
Funny you ask that, since I experience around three-hrs. of truly independent & political Left (strict on that same ‘Free Speech’ has too many really at best Capitalist Moderate & Lamestream shows/hosts, that I just stopped watching & calling-in & debating with the host or never watched) political media per day, long ago I figured-out that ‘Overpopulation’ & ‘Overdensity’ & thus inside & outside countries’ Immigration was never compatible with survival of The Livable Earth & All Beings. Plus that Immigration to 1st World countries & from other areas to areas within the same countries only hurts the non-Rich-Super Rich Economic Classes’/Owners’ living lives they earned by being born. It only has gotten worse with both ‘The Crazy Don’s & his administrations’ concentration camps, deportation to other countries’ concentration camps & all that requires. Thus I created a whole policy & bases for laws to be created to stop immigration in The USA & individual states & put it into a letter & mailed it ‘The Dem. “90+% Capitalist” Party’s & USA’s President Biden, but only received a letter with one-short sentence, saying he disagreed. I had given him many pages of long thought-out ways to solve The Immigration & ‘Global Warming & other environmental issues interconnectivity. Of course solve such issues & cannot campaign on them with the huge broadway like play with ‘The Rep. ‘‘Crazy Capitalist’’ Party’, that helps steal & keep, the rest of the people of the world accepting it enough to never put a stop to it.
There is no way I am going type in pages & pages of the solution into this, even if I was going to it is trapped, by malware, in unusable- thumb drive & former LT.
