If a civil war happens and the conservatives lose, America might be able to recover. Building whole new institutions, would remove a ton of institutional grift and corruption. Skilled people of integrity would be able to do their work, with less bullshit to get in the way.

I don’t think you fully understand the level of structural damage that has already been done. And the regime shows zero signs of stopping.

Aside from the institutional destruction: ICEatzgruppen is not going to back down; I expect to see more executions. They are being hyper violent and extralegal specifically because they are trying to provoke a violent response, so as to use that as an excuse to impose martial law, and give themselves carte blanche to apply extreme systemic violence even more liberally.

Side note: gotta give a major nod to the writers of that show for doing such an incredibly relevant and prescient scene vis a vis current events.
