I love how there's still Fallout fans who do not grasp that the US Government is the villain of the series

Got into an argument the other day with some guy who refused to understand that the Enclave is the US Government

Not a secret shadow Government, not a post-war replacement

It is the US Government, with their plan to mop up all the undesirables and eventually flee the planet on their spaceship to try their bullshit on some other planet

Even before the war. The US goverment always was evil, they even created a new virus and tested it on their own population.

If we take Tactics as canon, the Main Vault. Vault 0, was supposed to have a budget of like 200 billion dollars for it's main computer, instead they spent 70% of the budget on making golf stuff inside the vault.
