Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:

- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.
That's all the rules!

I encourage everyone to keep an eye out on Youtube and the like for channels like S2 Underground and to report them when they parrot the admin's obvious lies.
I liked his channel for the radio stuff and occasionally watched wire reports about international events. With recent American events that have popped up on my feed over the last few weeks, he's swan dived into the kool-aid.
Yeah, the way they've been cherry picking clips and editing them leaves no doubt at this point. Something tells me they won't be posting videos about how to sabotage under this administration like they did 4 years ago.
Priority video, most in the comments are (accurately) denouncing the official narrative.
Was way too quiet when they were saying there were roving lynch mobs in their other video.
Judging by the comments their Insta was banned, so there's some justice in the world.
Apologies, slightly off topic but is there a thread for organising action against misinformation on Lemmy?
I've come here from Reddit and the amount of right wing misinformation and propaganda is insane. So much floating around unmoderated.
Just looking for tips on how to effectively deal with it more than anything (other than abandoning ship!)
Your experience with people calling out Democrats in your first post may have given you the wrong impression - Lemmy doesn't have much of a right wing problem, but it does have an overabundance of leftists. You'll hear a lot of similar "fuck liberals" comments from them, but from the other end of the spectrum. You'll also find a lot of tankies here - leftists that unfailingly support violent, authoritarian regimes, mostly because they're a country other then the US or EU.
In short, you'll find the political inclinations of users here to be (possibly confusingly) diverse, if you stick around.
Right wing misinformation on Lemmy...?
Edit; your account is 8 hours old....
Yeah I literally just moved here for the reason I expressed.
I'm not a damn bot.
There were recent posts in instances' meta about a bot wave. Reporting them may help.
